It just doesn’t get much better than an evening filled with back-to-back Star Trek movies. The only problem is they’re out of order. :P

Here it is. I love it just as much today as I did yesterday. It’s beautiful! I love Melanie’s smile—I think that’s what sells it for me; she really gets INto her characters. Both she and Marko are wonderful.

And … they’re safe for another week! Whew! (not that I doubted, lol …)

Super 8 & SYTYCD

I had to take a break from the real world today.

Went to see SUPER 8. And man it was … super. Too bad I can’t take my boys to see it (holy lotsa language, man), because it was really good and I think they’d like it. It was INTENSE. Fantastic acting and well … it was just great.

Then came home and chilled with SYTYCD. Still love Melanie. LOVE! But tonight two other pairs stood out for me too. My faves from tonight:

Caitlyn & Mitchell

Melanie & Marko

Sasha & Alexander

I’d probably have to say my favorite of the night was Sasha & Alexander’s dance, followed by Caitlyn & Mitchell … then Melanie and Marko.

And … I feel better and like *maybe* I can handle real life tomorrow. :)

Falling Skies, episode 1

So we watched the pilot of FALLING SKIES, starring Noah Wiley, tonight. It was pretty good! Kind of a mix between Battle: LA and War of the Worlds, but I was okay with that. I mean, that’s pretty much what I expected and really, pretty much what I was hoping for.

What surprised me was that we could watch this show with our ten year old boys. There’s so little we can watch with them these days, so this made me happy! Yes, it’s violent, but it’s not bloody and gory and well, I’m okay with it.

Man, I thought the judges were harsh with Arielle on the show tonight. Just so dismissive that I was sure it was a psyche-out or something. So sad :(
